Milano 24 settembre 2010 – FederSalus, Federazione Nazionale dei Produttori di Prodotti Salutistici terrà in collaborazione con Nielsen, l’Università degli Studi di Milano e l’Università IULM di Milano, un seminario di approfondimento sull’andamento del mercato degli integratori alimentari, confrontandone le dinamiche con farmaci e alimenti funzionali. Si analizzerà, quindi, il processo decisionale del consumatore con un focus sulla comunicazione degli integratori alimentari. La prima sessione riguarderà il “Il mercato degli integratori alimentari”, in cui verrà presentato Il contesto competitivo: integratori alimentari, farmaci e alimenti funzionali dinamiche a confronto grazie al Dott. Riccardo Bruno della Nielsen. La seconda sessione invece sarà interamente dedicata al processo decisionale di acquisto del consumatore. Questo aspetto verrà illustrato dalla Prof.ssa Gabriella Pravettoni dell’ Università degli Studi di Milano che descriverà “Il decision making del consumatore nell’ambito dei prodotti salutistici” e dal Prof. Mauro Ferraresi dell’Università IULM di Milano, che parlerà de “La comunicazione nel mercato degli integratori alimentari: case histories di successo” Il seminario si svolgerà il 24 settembre 2010 alle 09.00 a Milano (NH Jolly Hotel, Via U.I.Tarchetti 2). Health Claim Approval of Probiotic Food in the European Union - Regulatory Framework Workshop

Under the current European regulation of health claims permitted to use for the promotion of food, probiotics are subjects to considerable impediments when facing the requirements of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Until the end of 2009 no probiotic health claims under the new EU regulation has yet received a positive opinion from the scientific assessors of EFSA. All probiotic claims referring to reduction of disease risk and to children’s development and health (Article 14) and health claims other than those referring to the reduction of disease risk and to children's development and health (Article 13) has been rejected by EFSA. It is the purpose of the workshop to explore the reasons for claim rejections by analysing the current situation, the reasons for failures of health claim substantiation and to present possible pathways to overcome obvious and overseen barriers

International Scientific Conference on Probiotics and Prebiotics – IPC 2010
